Tonya Wells is the owner of Mommy-Muscle Fitness. She is the married mother of a two year old daughter. She has been a nationally certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 12 years. She has worked with professional athletes from the Chicago Bears and Northwestern College, as well as professional golfers and baseball players. She is also certified to train pre- and postnatal women, which has been her main focus for the last six years. Tonya brought StrollerFit to Wichita two years ago and has trained over 200 women since then. She is currently transitioning her business into Mommy-Muscle Fitness. The types of classes she offers are aimed to help busy moms of all ages find strength and health for themselves and their families. She has been a runner for many years and completed countless marathons, ½ marathons, 15k, 10k & 5k’s. She has been doing triathlons for three years and has the goal to finish a ½ Ironman sometime in the next five years. She started a local running/walking club, Moms in Motion, this year. Tonya has been an inspiration to many moms in Wichita. Those that have joined her classes, reap the rewards of her constant push to help them be happy and healthy moms.

"When are you due?" This is a question I've been asked too many times....and I'm NOT Pregnant. I don't like the way I look, the way I feel and I'm going to do something different for myself, for my family, for my daughter who watches and looks up to me. -Krista Hunt



Many women across the country are stuck in an unhealthy rut that they would love to change. In today's society, with the pressures of work, family and juggling everyday life, a person's health becomes last on their "checklist," leading them down a path of unhealthy living. Local business owner, Krista Hunt will take a four month journey with local fitness trainer, Tonya Wells to help transform her chaotic life, inside and out. Her goal is to lose 45 lbs. and run/walk a full marathon on 10.10.10 (Prairie Fire Marathon). In weekly training sessions, Tonya will push Krista outside her comfort zone, getting to the root of the issues in her life which affected her health and happiness. The introduction of new exercises and eating habits will help give Krista the tools for an emotionally and physically healthier lifestyle.
